Chapter meeting March 16 sets leadership for 2026-27 in Holmes County

The West Holmes FFA Chapter met March
16. Officer elections were held, and the chapter had sandwiches before the
meeting. The meeting took place in the commons of the school and was brought to
order by President Madison Ringwalt.
Opening ceremonies were held, and officer reports and
committee reports were then given. Easton Uhl gave the social and recreation committee
report. Natalie Lauriha gave the state and national affairs committee report.
Jordan Long gave the community service committee report. Tori Bell gave the scholarship committee report. Lane Burgett gave the corporations committee
report. Carson Horn gave the conduct of meetings committee report. Austin Long gave the SAE committee report.
Ellie Babitt gave the public relations committee
report. Keston McKinney gave the earnings and savings committee report. Jenna
Zimmerly gave the alumni relations committee report. Jensen Lorentz gave the membership development committee report.
New business was then conducted.
Reece Anderson moved and Jack Jewel seconded to participate
in a spring trap shoot and have the chapter cover $75 per team. Ali Mash moved
and Chloe Kaser seconded to donate the cake proceeds to the chapter. Chloe
Kaser moved and Kendra Hall seconded to send members to the state convention
and have each member pay a $100 deposit.
Logan Horn moved and Shane Lorentz seconded to approve the
Certificate of Appreciation, Distinguishing Service Award and Honorary Chapter
Degree nominees as posted. Ellectra Beachy moved and Cadence Martie seconded to
purchase flowers from the Posey Pad and mugs from National FFA for banquet
centerpieces. Kendra Hall moved and Chloe Kaser seconded to help Holmes County
Soil and Water District with tree packing April 1.
Madison Mittman moved and Emma McDonnell seconded to have
six money eggs at the April meeting egg hunt, with four valued at $5, one
valued at $10 and one at $20.
Easton Uhl moved and Dylan Sours seconded to pay for hotel
rooms for state nature and wildlife. Billy Patten moved and Carson Horn
seconded to have members and one guest attend the banquet for free and any
additional guests pay for their meal at $15. Natalie Lauriha moved and Cassidy
Holasek seconded to purchase State and American Degree signs from Right Angle
Vinyl.
Logan Van Dalen moved and Blake Patterson seconded to pay
for the turkeys and supplies — motion passed. Grady Hawkins moved and Dylan
Sours seconded to donate the money raised during the penny wars to Love Inc.
and pay for the ice cream to award the winning class. Blake Patterson moved and
Logan Van Dalen seconded to donate a $150 gift card to Vince Schlauch for
providing exotic animals for FFA Week. Jenna Zimmerly moved and Patrick Weaver
seconded to conduct officer elections. Jarrett Schafer moved and Blake
Patterson seconded to adjourn.
All motions passed.
