TOPS Nashville discusses exercise
June 9 meeting highlights health benefits of aerobic activity
TOPS 1573 Nashville opened its June 9 meeting with pledges.
The best weekly loser was Mabel Leid. She said to take a walk every day. Leo Tope was the best weekly KOPS.
Lana Rush gave the program from an article titled “Exercise To Help Your Kidneys” from TOPS News. When people exercise, their organs get more oxygen and nutrients from their blood. Frequent aerobic exercise also can help lower blood pressure. It lowers the risk of getting diabetes and can help control it for those who already have it.
It is best to exercise five times a week. A goal should be to work out for 30 minutes each time.
TOPS 1573 Nashville meets Tuesdays at Nashville Global Methodist Church. Meetings are at 5:30 p.m., with weigh-in at 5 p.m.
