Loudonville Public Library rolls out November events for all ages
From Tacos & Trivia and Storytime Tuesdays to Nerf Night Nov. 7 and QPR training Nov. 18, the month features clubs, crafts and holiday closures Nov. 26-27.

The Loudonville Public Library has announced a full lineup of programs for November, offering activities for all ages.
The month begins on Monday, Nov. 3, with a Friends of the Library meeting at 2 p.m., featuring a presentation by Gnat and Bee Apothecary.
Later that day, teens in grades 6-12 can enjoy Tacos & Trivia: Animated Throwbacks Edition at 4 p.m., where tacos and friendly competition will make for an entertaining afternoon. Sign-up is required, with a limit of 12.
Every Tuesday in November—the 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th—at 10 a.m., the library will host Storytime, an interactive session for children ages 2-5 that includes stories, songs, fingerplays and crafts. Caregivers must attend, and younger siblings are welcome.
Creative spirits can join Pinterest Power: Alcohol Ink Mug on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 6 p.m., or again on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 10:30 a.m. The hands-on workshop provides all supplies; participants only need to bring their creativity. Sign-up is required. Space is limited to 12 per session.
The Community Chess Club meets on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 3:30 p.m., inviting both beginners and experienced players to enjoy friendly matches.
On Friday, Nov. 7, families can gear up for an energetic evening at Family Nerf Night, from 5:30-7 p.m. Participants ages 5 and up should bring their own Nerf equipment. Pre-registration and a permission slip are required, with a limit of 15 families.
Mom’s Night Out is Monday, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m. Moms with children at home can celebrate the upcoming holiday season with snacks and a door mat-painting activity, while children ages 2 and up enjoy snacks and a movie with the Youth Department. Sign-up is required, with a limit of 20 adults.
Also beginning Nov. 10, book lovers can pick up the Book Club to Go kit featuring "Anxious People" by Fredrik Backman. Kits include the book, discussion questions and an activity to enjoy at home while supplies last.
Teens can also start the Take Home Cooking Challenge: Pita Pizza, available the same day on a first-come, first-served basis at the youth desk.
Children in grades K-3 can join Kids' Club on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 3:30 p.m., for hands-on fun.
The following day, Thursday, Nov. 13, at 2:30 p.m., homeschool families are invited to connect at Homeschool Hangout: Lego Travel Tin, a creative activity for all ages. Supplies are limited.
Teen readers in grades 6-12 can check out the new club A Latte to Say, meeting Monday, Nov. 17, at 4:30 p.m., at Stela’s Ice Cream & Coffee Shop for drinks and a conversation about "The Island" by Natasha Preston.
On Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 6 p.m., the library will host Question, Persuade, Refer training to teach participants how to recognize when someone is struggling and respond with compassion.
Puzzle lovers can join Puzzle Races & Popcorn on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 3:30 p.m., competing to finish jigsaw puzzles while enjoying snacks. Signup is required. Space is limited to 12 participants.
The Adult Book Discussion group meets Friday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m. in the Golden Center to discuss "The First Ladies" by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray. Copies are available a month in advance at the circulation desk.
Teen Take & Makes-Beaded Pen starts Monday, Nov. 24. Teens in grades 6-12 can grab a craft kit at the youth desk and make something at home. The kits are first-come, first-served.
Spice Club also begins Nov. 24. Participants can explore a new spice each month with recipes and fun facts while supplies last.
The library will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, and remain closed Thursday, Nov. 27, in observance of Thanksgiving.
