Three honored at Lenten Luncheon
Church Women United recognizes service at event
During the March 18 Lenten Luncheon held in the basement fellowship hall of The Presbyterian Church, three people were presented with certificates of appreciation and thanks for exemplary service on the Lenten Luncheons. They were given by Christa Ciotola on behalf of Church Women United.
Chuck Snyder received his for many years of planning the luncheon programs, along with the late Rev. Dick Hoover. This included choosing a theme and verses of scripture, assigning a speaker (often a new minister at one of the county churches), and choosing a Lenten hymn for group singing.
Alice Hoover, organist at The Presbyterian Church, received hers for her many years of playing the piano to accompany group singing of a Lenten hymn during each Lenten Luncheon.
Donna Westfall was honored for all the publicity she has handled connected with the annual Lenten Luncheons and for helping plan the luncheons.
