Fredericktown FFA’s Ag Day connects students with local agriculture

Farms, businesses, and community partners joined to teach K–12 students about animals, conservation and farm life.

Recently, the Fredericktown FFA Chapter hosted the 2025 Ag Day event. Every year, the FFA reaches out to farms, community members, and agricultural businesses to put on this educational event for all students. This year, we had a number of businesses participate and contribute to our efforts.

During this year’s Ag Day, FFA members were tasked with watching the animals and ensuring their well-being, leading groups of students through the experience, and assisting the businesses and groups that came to contribute to the day. The goal of the event was to educate students in K-12 on various areas of agriculture and the part it plays in their lives.

A huge thank you goes out to the Knox Soil and Water Conservation District for the educational trailers; Travelling Acres Petting Zoo for providing their own animals, such as a camel, Scottish Highland Cattle, and giant rabbits; Diamond B Drone Solutions for drone demonstrations and education throughout the day; Mrs. Huvler and her students for providing fun recreational activities; the Fredericktown Parks Department for providing us with an area for the event; and finally, the members, families, and supporters for donating their tractors, animals, and time to this event.
