The Danville boys’ basketball team is on a roll. The Blue Devils have won eight games in a row.
Danville won its sixth straight game behind a strong first half, beating Knox Morrow Athletic Conference rival Centerburg, 80-49, on Jan. 16.
The Blue Devils led 14-7 after one quarter and 34-16 at halftime in rolling to the victory.
Ashton Spaulding led the Devils with 17 points. Parker Proper added 16, while Carson Proper had 10 and Aidan Mickley nine.
The Devils followed that up with a nail-biting, 54-53 victory over Mansfield Christian on Jan. 17.
Mickley poured in 12 points to lead the Devils. Spaulding and Owen Gronberg added nine each, while Carson Proper had eight and Wesley Payne seven.
Danville made it eight in a row with a 70-44 victory over Cardington on Jan. 20.
The Blue Devils scored 26 in the first quarter and then 22 in the third to break away from the Pirates.
Mickley led the Devils with 16 points. Spaulding added 14, while Payne had 11, Parker Proper nine, and Carson Proper and Gronberg eight each.
