H.S. FOOTBALL PREVIEW
WEEK 2
Games of Aug. 28
Millersport (0-1)
at Conotton Valley (1-0)
Last week: New London 28, Millersport 14; Conotton
Valley 50, Tusc. C.C. 22
Last Year: Did not play
This year: It was the Cam Wright show
last Thursday night for the Conotton Valley Rockets, as the do-it-all senior
scored three touchdowns against TCC to lead the Rockets to a week one victory
in dominating fashion. Wright racked up 70 rushing yards on five carries, and
42 receiving yards on four catches. The Rockets rolled the Saints 50-22,
marking their third consecutive victory in the series. Millersport will make
the near two-hour journey from just east of Columbus to the outskirts of
Bowerston this Friday night. The Lakers dropped their opening weekend matchup
at home to New London 28-14. The purple and gold will bring an experienced
group of 10 seniors with them in hopes of picking up their first victory of
2025. While having veteran players certainly matters, the Lakers have managed
to win just two games dating back to the 2022 season.
Games
of Aug. 29
Medina (1-0) at
North Canton Hoover (1-0)
Last week: Medina 21, Stow-Monroe Falls 13; Hoover
30, Buchtel 0
Last year: Did not play
This week: Medina got 250 passing yards and three touchdowns through the air from
River Blomquist in beating Stow. Kellen Hathaway caught two of the TD throws,
snagging five passes overall. The Bees need to work out some mistakes, having
committed double-digit penalties in their opener. John Collins ran and threw
for a touchdown in the Vikings’ opening win over Buchtel. A solid defensive
night for Hoover was highlighted by a blocked punt that resulted in a safety.
Highland (1-0)
vs. Hudson (1-0)
Last week: Highland 49, Erie (Penn.)
McDowell 10; Hudson 28, Austintown Fitch 14
Last year: Highland 31, Hudson 24
This week: Highland got the toughest test of its regular season in what was at the
time the teams’ season opener a year ago. It was the only game Highland played
during its first 13 contests that didn’t include a running clock in the second
half. Last week in their victory over Erie McDowell, the Hornets picked up more
than 500 yards of offense in the first half before coasting to an easy victory.
Quarterback Grady Gibb did not throw an incomplete pass in seven attempts and running
back Casey Myser picked up where he left off, averaging better than 10 yards
and scoring three touchdowns.
Buckeye (1-0)
vs. Amherst Steele (1-0)
Last week: Buckeye 41, Cloverleaf 0; Steele 48,
Sandusky 6
Last year: Steele 42, Buckeye 21
This week: Buckeye will look to avenge its only regular-season loss of a year ago.
The Bucks made it look easy against county rival Cloverleaf. Senior Turner
Dolata passed for more than 250 yards, most before halftime. His 69-yard TD
pass to Brayden Bonnett just 14 seconds into the game got things going. The
Bucks will need to keep their eyes on Steele quarterback Cy Christenson, who
accounted for two touchdowns each with his arms and legs in the Comets’ win
over Sandusky.
Cloverleaf
(0-1) vs. LaGrange Keystone (1-0)
Last week: Buckeye 41, Cloverleaf 0; Keystone 39,
West Salem Northwestern 0
Last year: Cloverleaf 21, Keystone 14
This week: Cloverleaf defeated Keystone last year in what was at least a mild
upset. It was the start of a four-game win streak for the Colts, who are
looking to similarly bounce back from an opening-night loss to the Bucks. The Colts had less than 80 yards of total
offense against Buckeye. Their passing game could not get off the ground,
producing just 26 yards. That doesn’t bode well for Cloverleaf, heading into a
matchup with a team that pitched a shutout in its opener.
Lake (1-0) at Boardman
(0-1)
Last week: Lake 49, South Range 13; Twinsburg 29,
Boardman 28
Last
Year: Lake 34,
Boardman 13
This
year: Lake rolled
over Div. V South Range in an explosive win that featured three TDs on three
consecutive plays, including a punt return by Lake's Ty DeGeorge and a kickoff return by teammate Chase Fuller. DeGeorge added a 16-yard TD pass to Quinn Snyder for a 35-13
halftime score, then capped the scoring for Lake in the third period with 65-
and 46-yard touchdown runs. DeGeorge rushed for 119 yards on just six carries, while QB Alex Quior hit all 7 of his passes for 173 yards and a 75-yard TD to Snyder. The Streaks rolled up 225 net yards on the ground while
holding South Range to just 63. The Blue Streaks go on the road to face the Div. II, Region
5 Spartans, who will be smarting after a narrow one-point loss to Twinsburg.
Northwest (0-0)
at Marlington (1-0)
Last week: Northwest-Norton, cancelled; Marlington
19, Warrensville Hts. 8
Last
Year: Northwest
31, Marlington 14
This
year: For the
third consecutive season, Marlington started its season with a victory over
Warrensville Heights. After Cam Evanich broke free for a 46-yard scoring run to put the Dukes on the board, he snagged a 20-yard scoring strike from QB Tyler Walder in the third quarter and again in the fourth from 16 yards out for a 19-0 lead. The PAT was no good and Marlington led 13-0. Evanich ended the game with 48 yards rushing on two touches and 67 yards receiving, while Walder was a perfect 7-of-7 for 65 yards and one TD. RB Bryce Jones pounded out 148 yards on 18 carries. It gets more difficult this week, as the Dukes, which
moved from Div. III, Region 9 to Div. IV, Region 13, do battle with the
Indians, who saw their season opener canceled following an outbreak of hand,
foot, and mouth disease at Norton and who are undoubtedly ready to get the season underway.
Carrollton (0-1)
at Edison (1-0)
Last week: East Liverpool 23, Carrollton 12;
Edison 35, Shenandoah 14
Last Year: Did not play
This year: Special teams was an Achilles heel for the
Warriors in their opening loss to East Liverpool — at least when they were defending — as the Potters benefitted from
a recovered punt that set up a TD and a 98-yard kickoff return for another
score. Carrollton did get a pair of field goals from Paycen Haven and an 8-yard scoring run from QB Hunter Allison. The Warriors need to focus squarely on the road trip to face the Div. V Wildcats, a 7-win playoff team in 2024 that rolled to a season-opening win this year.
Crestwood (0-1)
at Minerva (0-1)
Last week: Mogadore 13, Crestwood 6; United Local
35, Minerva 0
Last Year: Did not play
This year: The Zach Slates era opened at Minerva with a 35-0 loss to United, marking the Lions’ sixth consecutive loss after snapping a 33-game slump that began in 2021. Meanwhile, Crestwood watched its 6-0 halftime lead slip away as Mogadore came back with two-second half scores in a 13-6 win between two very solid small-school programs.
Malvern (1-0)
at Martins Ferry (1-0)
Last week: Malvern 16, Valley Christian 8; Martins
Ferry 55, Expression Academy 0
Last Year: The Hornets may have lacked the prolific offense of a year ago that scored at least 32 points in 12 of 13 games, but they still got the job done on in a 16-8 defeat of Valley Christian. Malvern will have its hands full with the Div. VI Purple Riders, who lost in the second round of the Div. V, Region 17 playoffs in 2024 and opened this season with a 55-0 shellacking of Expression Prep Academy. It's a good early test for two squas with big goals in mind.
Tusky Valley (1-0)
at Coshocton (0-1)
Last week: Tusky Valley 21, Waynedale 20 (OT); Ridgewood 31, Coshocton 7
Last Year: Did not play
This year: Tusky Valley went on the road and rallied from a 14-0 deficit to defeat Waynedale in overtime, but that was overshadowed by the spinal injury suffered by player Mayson White, hurt making a second-quarter tackle. The Trojans scored once in the third and fourth quarters and OT, then stuffed Waynedale's 2-point conversion run for the dramatic victory. Coshocton's problems on the field in its opener were mainly due to Ridgewood — the Generals rolled up over 400 yards of offense while the Redskins generated just 116 in falling behind 31-0 before a late touchdown toss from QB Mason Williams to WR Champ Haley.
Ridgewood (1-0)
at River View (0-1)
Last week: Ridgewood 31, Coshocton 7; Garaway 46,
River View 0
Last Year: Ridgewood 56, River View 0
This
year: Ridgewood
christened its new football field, part of a $4 million renovation of the
athletic facilities there, by dominating Coshocton, outgaining the Redskins
410-116. Jace McQueen tossed TD passes to Jackson Cabot and Logan Ridenbaugh,
while Drake Angle had an interception and led a late drive to a 22-yard FG by
Jason Smoulder. Things don’t get any easier for rebuilding River View, which
fell behind 14-0 after just 3 defensive snaps against Garaway and also lost its
lone senior on the offensive line, Hunter White, who was carted off with an ankle injury on the Black Bears’ first offensive series.
Utica (0-1) at
Danville (1-0)
Last week: Centerburg 34, Utica 0; Danville 35,
Worthington Christian 13
Last year: Danville 24, Utica 14
This year: Danville won its opener, 35-13 over Worthington Christian, thanks to the ground game of sophomore running back Cyren Wallace. Wallace had 24 carries for 187 yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Nolan Ridgway aired things out, as well, throwing for 122 yards and a score. Utica had some trouble moving the ball in a loss to Centerburg, managing just 95 yards rushing. The Redskins did add 151 yards through the air.
Mount Vernon (0-1)
at Newark (1-0)
Last week: Marion Harding 21, Mount Vernon 14;
Newark 56, Licking Heights 21
Last year: Newark 36, Mount Vernon 14
This year: Mount Vernon’s hopes to bounce back from a heartbreaking loss on opening night will depend a lot on its defense. Newark was explosive in beating the Yellow Jackets last season (touchdowns of 41, 26 and 76 yards) and dialed up the offense again in a 56-21 victory over Licking Heights last week. Quarterback Bodie Smith completed 17 of 20 passes for 241 yards and five touchdowns. The Wildcats also have a talented running game, led by Kolton Peterson (105 yards) and Alex Irvin (95 yards). Mount Vernon has some offensive power of its own, led by quarterback Mason Richards. The senior completed 14 of 27 passes for 149 yards and also rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns in the loss to Harding. He has some talented receivers to throw to in Dammon Wolfe (4 receptions, 41 yards) and Landon Dawson (2 catches, 14 yards).
East Knox (0-1)
at Bucyrus Wynford (0-1)
Last week: Northridge 25, East Knox 24;
Cardington-Lincoln 32, Wynford 27
Last year: East Knox 25, Wynford 12
This year: East Knox will have to overcome the bad taste in its mouth after dropping a close game to Northridge in the opener. The Bulldogs were solid offensively, led by quarterback Jax Lester, who threw for 227 yards and three touchdowns. Logan Clark (6 catches, 103 yards, 2 TD) and Rush Beatty (5 catches, 33 yards, 1 TD) were his favorite targets. Lester will look for another big game against a Wynford squad that fell 32-27 to Cardington-Lincoln in its opening game. Defensively, East Knox will look to shore up its run defense after being blitzed by Northridge. The Bulldogs gave up three scoring plays of more than 18 yards, including an 80-yard run.
Johnstown (1-0)
at Centerburg (1-0)
Last week: Johnstown 70, Zanesville 26; Centerburg
34, Utica 0
Last year: Did not play
This year: Both Centerburg and Johnstown are coming off decisive victories in the opening week. Centerburg shut out Utica while Johnstown exploded for 70 points in a rout of Zanesville. The Trojans did their damage offensively through the air as quarterback Blane Ball hit on 10 of 16 passes for 280 yards and four touchdowns. Hayden Love was his favorite target, pulling in five catches for 240 yards and four scores. Centerburg’s defense did the job against Utica, but will have its hands full with the Johnnies, who ran for 428 yards and scored 51 points in the first half against Zanesville. Ryan Sager was the team leader, racking up 176 yards and three touchdowns on just nine carries. One of those carries was a 72-yard touchdown. Aydan Colley had a 94-yard touchdown run and Landon Myers had 83 yards rushing on 11 carries.
Northridge (1-0)
at Fredericktown (1-0)
Last week: Northridge 25, East Knox 24;
Fredericktown 21, Highland 6
Last year: Northridge 19, Fredericktown 13
This year: Fredericktown will be coming off the high of beating rival Highland in its opener. The Freddies got big plays from senior Brode Davis, a 76-yard TD run and a 13-yard scoring reception, in the victory. Quarterback Blake Sipes rushed for 103 yards and threw for another 131. The Vikings are coming off an exciting 25-24 victory over East Knox. Fredericktown’s defense will have its work cut out for itself as Northridge’s Brayden Bingham rushed for 239 yards against East Knox. Bingham scored on runs of 18, 22 and 80 yards.
New
Philadelphia (0-1) at West Branch (0-1)
Last week: Louisville 24, New Philadelphia 0;
Canfield 26, West Branch 21
Last year: Did not play
This week: The Quakers moved the ball in the opener against Louisville but could not cross the goal line. One of New Philadelphia’s best chances at scoring resulted in a blocked field goal. With the game still tight in the fourth quarter, the Quakers had an interception returned for a back-breaking touchdown. The Warriors, meanwhile, arguably were the better team in their season-opener but surrendered a pair of kickoff return touchdowns. Canfield answered back-to-back West Branch TDs with returns that went the distance, killing any momentum the Warriors had gathered on offense.
Maple Heights (1-0)
at Dover (1-0)
Last week: Maple Heights 42, Lorain 16; Dover 18,
GlenOak 7
This week: Dover didn’t dominate on opening night against GlenOak, which was coming off a 1-9 season, but did plenty to get the 'W' in Matt Rees’ head coaching debut. A scoreless second half kept the game closer than it probably was. The Tornadoes will face a much stauncher test in Week 2 as Maple Heights is loaded with speed. The Mustangs trailed 13-6 early last Friday against Lorain, then rolled, scoring on four consecutive second-half possessions.
Fisher Catholic
(1-0) at Tuscarawas Central Catholic (0-1)
Last week: Conotton Valley 50, TCC 22; Fisher
Catholic 47, Belpre 12.
Last year: Fisher Catholic 49, TCC 0.
This week: This matchup pits a pair of private schools that got off to divergent
starts. The Saints trailed 44-0 at halftime of their season opener. The loss
stretched Central Catholic’s losing streak to 28 consecutive games. The Saints’
last win came in Week 2 of the 2022 season, a 20-6 triumph over Grove City
Christian. The week before that, TCC posted a 63-14 trouncing of Fisher
Catholic. That was the Saints’ second consecutive win over the Irish. Fisher
won the teams’ meetings in 2023 and ’24.
Indian Valley (1-0)
at Steubenville (0-1)
Last week: Indian Valley 28, Green 21; Youngstown
Ursuline 37, Steubenville 7.
Last year: Did not play.
This week: Indian
Valley is facing a stronger non-league schedule this year as it looks to make a
run at a second consecutive Division IV state championship. Senior Grady Kinsey
ran for 307 yards and three touchdowns on 33 carries to propel the Braves, who
had to survive a Green onside kick attempt, which did not go 10 yards, to come
away with the victory. Steubenville is a traditional state power that will be
heard from throughout the season. The Big Red is opening a bit of a gauntlet on
a schedule that includes teams from four states plus the District of Columbia,
but expect the Braves to be road warriors in an extremely tough place to play.
Manchester (1-0)
at Sandy Valley (0-1)
Last week: Manchester 62, Coventry 0; Fairless 50, Sandy
Valley 13
Last
Year: Manchester
27, Sandy Valley 2
This
year: After losing
to Fairless by a single touchdown in 2024, the Cardinals surrendered 50 points
to the high-flying Falcons in their opening season loss. SV actually scored first on Caleb Duebner's 6-yard TD pass to Gino Tozzi, but the Falcons scored the next 50. It won’t get any
easier this week as Sandy Valley faces another powerful offense in the Panthers
and QB Tyler Pappas, who threw a school record seven TD passes in a 62-0
blowout of Coventry.
Harrison
Central (0-1) at Newcomerstown (0-1)
Last week: Claymont 34, Harrison Central 14;
Crooksville 21, Newcomerstown 12
Last Year: Did not play
This year: The Huskies enter week two 0-1 for the
first time since 2019 and a road trip to face the Trojans awaits, with both
teams looking to jump into the win column in 2025. Harrison was shut down in
all aspects of the game last Friday, picking up just eight first downs and
allowing over 300 yards rushing. Newcomerstown was within a field goal in the
late-going of its season-opening loss but a late Crooksville touchdown put the
way away. Newcomerstown had one possession in the late-going to either tie or
take the lead but could not convert. Crooksville took a 15-12 lead with a
touchdown pass less than two minutes into the final period. It will be a clash
of playing styles this weekend, as the Huskies lean towards the spread
zone-oriented offense, with the Trojans embracing more of a wishbone run-heavy
approach. The two schools haven’t met on the gridiron in 20 years, a series
that Newcomerstown leads 3-2.
Lucas (1-0) at Hillsdale
(1-0)
Last week: Lucas 51, Plymouth 0; Hillsdale 42,
Black River 14
Last Year: Hillsdale 26, Lucas 8
This year: The defending Div. VII state runner-up
didn’t waste much time in the new season, rolling to a 42-0 halftime lead on
the way to an easy win. Hillsdale RB Owen Sloan had 3 TDs and 133 rushing yards
on 15 carries and QB Kael Lewis threw for 170 yards and a score while defenders
Mikey Shenberger III and Jake Haven both posted 2 tackles for loss. Lucas rode
the legs of RBB Tim Daley to its rout of Plymouth, as Daley rushed for 172
yards and 3 TDs.
Chippewa (0-1)
at Tuslaw (0-1)
Last week: East Canton 38, Chippewa 0; Smithville
3, Tuslaw 0
Last Year: Tuslaw 21, Chippewa 0
This year: The Chipps will make the short drive
down SR 21 to meet the Mustangs and both teams will be looking to crack the
scoring column for the first time. Chippewa ran for just 29 yards and threw for 61, although with 4 interceptions. Tuslaw, at least, can build off its
defensive performance of a week ago, holding what’s thought to be an explosive
Smithville offense to a single field goal. Offensively, QB Ethan Haer needs to improve on his first-week passing numbers (6 of 17, 3 INTs, 58 yds.). Bryson Pererra had 15 tackles for the 'Stangs and Parker Reinhart added 11 stops.
Dalton (1-0) at
Sparta Highland (0-1)
Last week: Dalton 20, Bishop Ready 6; Fredericktown
21, Highland 6
Last Year: Dalton 48, Highland 26
This year: Highland allowed Fredericktown's QB to rack up over 130 yards passing and another 100 rushing, while the Scots managed just one TD themselves. The hosts will likely have their hands full handling Dalton's first-team All-Ohio QB Carter Highnight, who threw for 164 yards last week while RB Jax Ryder added 103 yards and a TD on 21 carries. The star for the Bulldogs, though, had to be junior Gage Stitt, who had a sack, 6 catches for 109 yards, and two pick-sixes that were the ultimate difference in Dalton's 14-point win.
Rittman (1-0)
at Coventry (0-1)
Last week: Rittman 63, Cleveland JFK 0; Manchester
62, Coventry 0
Last Year: Rittman 28, Coventry 6
This year: The Indians had an ideal debut under first-year coach Mike Huff, rolling to an easy shutout victory. Another win would propel Rittman into a chance at a second consecutive 3-0 start to the season — if it can go on the road successfully twice — with its Wayne County Athletic League opener at home versus Waynedale in Week 4.
Northwestern (0-1)
at Black River (0-1)
Last week: Keystone 39, Northwestern 0; Hillsdale
42, Black River 14
Last Year: Northwestern 28, Black River 21
This year: This was Northwestern's lone win last season, a fact the host Pirates aren't likely to forget in this long-time battle between neighbors. The Huskies need to get the offense moving to have a shot, while Black River, which trailed Hillsdale 42-0 last week, showed some late life by scoring twice.
Norwayne (1-0)
at Triway (1-0)
Last week: Norwayne 47, St. Clairsville 27; Triway
23, West Holmes 21
Last Year: Did not play
This year: Norwayne QB Jacob Bruner’s senior
season is off to a great start as he threw for 253 yards and 4 TDs, had an
interception and returned a fumble 91 yards for a score. His top target was
Ryder Ingold as the two connected 7 times for a whopping 180 yards and all 4
scores. Cameron Hackworth added a 99-yard fumble return for a TD as Norwayne
forced 4 turnovers. The Titans built a lead, lost it, then used a 35-yard Cohen
Baker FG with 1:07 to play to survive a crazy finish at West Holmes. QB Luke Starr
threw for 189 yards and 3 TDs and ran for 69, while Bruin Flinner had 7 catches
for 88 yards and a score as well as a pick. Triway ran for a solid 151 yards at
5 yards a clip.
Smithville (1-0)
at Claymont (1-0)
Last week: Smithville 3, Tuslaw 0; Claymont 34,
Harrison Central 14
Last Year: Smithville 30, Claymont 27
This year: Claymont wasted no time getting going
in the opener. On its third play from scrimmage senior quarterback Caron
Golec connected on a 78-yard touchdown pass from Mason Bailey and the Mustangs were off and running on their way to beating Harrison Central for the first time
in 14 years. The CHS defense was just as good, bottling Harrison up to the tune
of just eight first downs. The Mustangs did a number on the Huskies defense as
well, piling up 325 rushing yards. In its first game,
Smithville could only manage a 20-yard Luke Snyder second-quarter field goal against
Tuslaw, but made it stand up with some solid defensive play in handing the visitors their eighth consecutive opening-night loss. The Smithies won a shootout against the next group of Mustangs a year
ago and will look to get their offense untracked on the road, although RB Mason Haines ran for 132 yards on 21 carries last week.
Fairless (1-0)
at Waynedale (0-1)
Last week: Fairless 50, Sandy Valley 13; Tusky
Valley 21, Waynedale 20 (OT)
Last Year: Did not play
This year: After spotting Sandy Valley a TD, Fairless scored the next 50 points, including two kickoff returns for scores, by Cam Carl and Zach Gilkerson. Carl added a 20-yard TD run and Jack Kirby scored twice for the Falcons. Waynedale had a golden opportunity to start the season with a win but couldn't hold a two-score lead and lost in OT. Jayden Hochstetler was a standout on both sides of the ball for the Golden Bears, rushing for 108 yards on 17 carries and making 11 tackles on defense.
Orrville (1-0)
at West Holmes (0-1)
Last week: Orrville 56, Wooster 23; Triway 23,
West Holmes 21
Last Year: West Holmes 43, Orrville 29
This year: The Brent Besancon Era at Orrville got
off to the best start imaginable, as the Red Riders, led by their new coach, rolled
archrival Wooster behind an offense that showed balance (Cam Kraft 13-of-18,
114 yards, 2 TDs passing; Parker Hostetler 145 yards, 2 TDs rushing) and a
defense that turned two INTs into first-half scores. The Knights overcame a deficit and led Triway 21-20, but dropped a potential game-clinching interception just prior to the FG that won it for the Titans as the clock ticked down. Freshman Coy Beachy made a game-high 16 tackles for WH, but the Knights will need to get the run game going and more efficiency in the passing game, as Brayden Parson was just 10 of 29 for 117 yards.
North Royalton
(0-1) at Wooster (0-1)
Last week: Valley Forge 33, No. Royalton 29;
Orrville 56, Wooster 23
Last Year: Did not play
This year: the Bears make the trip to Follis Field
smarting from a wild Week 1 loss in which they rallied from a 26-14 deficit to
take a late 29-26 lead, only to have Valley Forge complete a fourth-down
75-yard TD pass with a minute to play. NR QB Clark Defendorf (2 TD passes, 1
running) led the Bears’ frantic final drive that reached the VF 1 as time ran
out. Time ran out much earlier for Wooster, which fell behind 42-16 at the half
at Orrville. The Generals’ defense was had trouble stopping the run or pass and
the offense gave up a pair of pick-sixes to spoil coach Ray Leek’s debut. The
special teams were fine, though, kicking in a field goal and two kickoff
returns for scores, by Logan Gattuso and freshman Sam Schantz.
Expression Prep
(W. Va.) (0-1) at Garaway (1-0)
Last week: Martins Ferry 55, Expression Academy 0;
Garaway 46, River View 0
Last Year: Did not play
This year: Looking at the visitors, the expression
might be ‘Yikes’ after their first trip into Ohio did not go well. The Pirates,
on the other hand, took care of business quickly and efficiently a week ago. QB
Brody Miller dumped a screen pass to Micah Yoder for a 32-yard TD on Garaway’s
first offensive play, the Pirates scored again 2 plays later and the rout was
on. This is likely another tune-up in anticipation of Week 3’s visit from
Norwayne.
Games of Aug. 30
Strasburg (1-0) at Steubenville Cath. Cent. (1-0)
Last week: Strasburg 56, Windham 8; Steubenville C.C. 26, Wellsville 15
Last Year: Strasburg 34, Steubenville C.C. 19
This year: The Tigers looked sharp in their season-opening 56-8 blowout of Windham, a 2024 Div. VII playoff team. The Tigers, who shot out to a 42-0 halftime lead against the shell-shocked Bombers, look to keep the mojo going as they head south for a Saturday night faceoff against the Crusaders, who defeated Wellsville by a score of 26-15.
