Wooster Emblem Club gears up for a busy season

Wooster Emblem Club held its June meeting at the Wooster Elks Lodge.

President Paulette Douglas opened the meeting according to ritual. Activities reported included playing cards at two local care facilities, clipping coupons for overseas military bases and attendance at the Ohio State Association Convention in Toledo.

Actions taken under new business included the acceptance of the 2025-26 budget, the election of delegates to the National Convention in Independence, and rescheduling the August meeting for Tuesday, Aug. 12 at 2 p.m.

It was announced the next national president will visit Ohio in April 2026. Wooster set a date of April 2, 2026, for a visitation. More details will be given at a later date.

Upcoming events include two workshops to make centerpieces and favors for the Supreme Banquet at the national convention. Those workshop dates are July 22 and Aug. 12 at 11 a.m. at the lodge.

The club is sponsoring a card party on July 23 at the Wooster Elks Lodge at 11 a.m. The monthly lunch will be held at the Elks Lodge on July 10, with coupon clipping to follow.

There is no meeting in July.
