MVNU, C-TEC of Licking County announce Gateway Partnership
Strategic collaboration expands education and workforce pathways across Central Ohio
Mount Vernon Nazarene University and C-TEC of Licking County announced a new strategic partnership through MVNU’s Gateway Partnership, designed to expand educational pathways, strengthen workforce development, and support students and adult learners across Central Ohio.
This collaborative initiative creates clear, accessible pathways from career and technical education to higher education, equipping learners with the academic credentials and professional skills needed to thrive in today’s workforce. Through the Gateway Partnership, MVNU and C-TEC will work together to align programs, enhance transfer and advancement opportunities, and support long-term career growth for students and working professionals.
“We are excited to partner with such an innovative organization as C-TEC of Licking County,” said Tavaris E. Taylor, Special Assistant to the President for Strategic Initiatives at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. “This partnership is truly transformative for Central Ohio. Superintendent Snow and her team have been outstanding collaborators as we work together to strengthen and expand educational pathways across the region.”
Through MVNU’s Gateway Partnership, businesses and nonprofit organizations gain an exceptional opportunity to advance their missions by training and retaining passionate, skilled employees. The partnership offers tailored educational programs designed to enhance professional competencies, foster employee engagement, and support career advancement. By leveraging MVNU’s academic expertise and C-TEC’s career-focused training model, the collaboration helps organizations develop effective retention strategies and cultivate a strong, mission-aligned workforce.
C-TEC Superintendent Michelle Snow emphasized the shared commitment to student success and regional impact, saying “C-TEC is proud to partner with Mount Vernon Nazarene University to expand meaningful pathways for students and adult learners across Central Ohio. MVNU has been an exceptional collaborator, and together we are building opportunities that strengthen our workforce, elevate our region, and support the future talent needs of our communities.”
Together, MVNU and C-TEC of Licking County are committed to investing in Central Ohio’s future — ensuring students, adult learners, and employers have the tools, support, and pathways needed for long-term success.
