Danville wrestlers place 10th at Centerburg Invitational

Carter Wittel earns third-place finish at 285 pounds to lead Blue Devils

The Danville boys’ wrestling team finished 10th overall at the Centerburg Invitational on Saturday.

The Blue Devils scored 35.5 points on the day. Olentangy Berlin won with 232.

Carter Wittel had a third-place finish at 285 pounds to lead the Devils. Wittel won by pin, then was beaten to fall into the consolation bracket. There, he won two matches by pin (1:35 and 4:30) to finish with the bronze.

Kyle Hackman (113 pounds) and Camden Horn (126) both won two matches in their weight classes to just miss top four. Jonathan Stephens (106), Logan Joseph (138) and Cooper Baldridge (144) each won one match.
