Young Professionals mini-conference at White Oak

The Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a Young Professionals mini-conference on Friday, Sept. 8 from noon to 4 p.m. at White Oak Event Center, 1319 Millborne Road, Orrville.

The afternoon will begin with a networking lunch, followed by speakers Tyler Adams (Junior Achievement) and Ashleigh Best (The College of Wooster). Rounding out the day will be area business leaders Eddie Steiner (CSB), Susan Marlar (Meaden & Moore) and Steve McElroy (McElroy Packaging) leading a Q-and-A session.

Young Professionals invites anyone in the workforce age 18-40.

Safety Council

The OACC Safety Council will meet Wednesday,Sept. 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wayne College.

Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation administrator John Logue will share updates on the agency’s latest accomplishments, programs and safety grants.

NEW Roundtable

The next Networking Empowers Women Roundtable will be Thursday, Sept. 14 from 8:30-10 a.m. at the Jarrett Routing Center in Orrville.

Sheila Wagler-Mills, director of Encompass Counseling, will discuss the role of attachment styles in the workplace. She will provide a brief understanding of attachment theory, the four attachment styles, and their impact on people’s experience and relationships in the workplace. She will offer suggestions to help people relate to each style in the workplace and conclude with ways to begin to work toward a more secure personal attachment style to increase personal and professional fulfillment.
