Wooster Area Chamber has busy autumn planned

It promises to be a busy fall for the Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce, with the following events on the schedule:
Young Professionals
Join the chamber and Young Professionals in downtown Wooster on the square for DORA drinks on Sept. 20 from 5-7 p.m. There are activities planned, and with the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area, YPs can stop by one of the participating establishments to purchase a drink and hang out with the group on the square.

The only requirements to join is you live or work in Wayne County and are between the age of 21-40.

Wooster Area Safety Council
Wooster Area Safety Council will meet Wednesday, Sept. 20 at the Wayne County Fire & Rescue Association Regional Training Facility, 2725 Millborne Road, Apple Creek, to tour and learn more about how the facility is used to train first responders in the area.
Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the oil and gas area, which is used to host classes in partnership with the Ohio Natural Energy Institute; watch the Wooster Division of Fire complete one of their training scenarios at the Kirila Burn Building; tour the Grain Bin building to see the new farm rescue training area; and tour the survival maze, which is used to build the confidence of new firefighters as they maneuver through obstacles with limited or no vision, similar to an actual fire.
Wooster Area Safety Council meetings are held monthly from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Wooster, located at 621 College Ave. There is a $20 fee for Wooster Chamber members and a $25 fee for nonchamber members.

Business After Hours
All chamber members are invited to join for a Business After Hours at the new Wooster Brush North Building on Oct. 18 from 4-6 p.m. Located at 2550 Daisy Way, this new 608,400-square-foot building is the largest single building ever built within the city of Wooster.
For over 170 years, The Wooster Brush Company has crafted paint applicators and tools in Wooster. This new facility, which spans nearly 14 acres, doubles as a warehouse and another manufacturing plant to support its growing business.

Wayne Economic Forum
The 10th annual Wayne Economic Forum will be held Thursday, Oct. 26 at Greystone Event Center on Wooster’s north end. This annual forum event features top executives from the regional business community who will share a variety of perspectives and ideas ranging from business growth and human behavior to economic development. Attendees will learn about recent economic trends and developments throughout the global market.
Five speakers will be featured at this year’s event. With registration you will be able to listen to all of these talks and gain insight over lunch and drinks.
