Senior Citizens were invited to enjoy the first performance of the Dalton Jazz Band’s Spring Tour. The Jazz Band is an extra-curricular activity at Dalton High School. There are 22 musicians in the band which performs 1940-style Big Band music. Something for Seniors is a time for senior citizens to come together and make new friends and connect with old friends. On Monday, March 25 senior citizens were invited to come to The Pier anytime between 9-10 a.m. to enjoy conversation, coffee, tea and snacks. Seniors were encouraged to invite friends to come along to hear the Dalton High School Jazz Band, which was presented at 10 a.m.There was be no lunch served following the performance. However, snacks were served before the performance.The next Something for Seniors program is scheduled for Monday, April 29.
