After more than 30 years of service to Aultman, Jim Savage will retire from the role of president of AultCare, Aultman Health Foundation’s insurance company, effective Dec. 31.

Savage, a North Canton native, served in a succession of positions at Aultman and AultCare over the years. He joined Aultman with a background in finance and accounting, specializing in underwriting and actuarial services. He has worked with the AultComp managed care organization and third-party administrator.

Savage also has had oversight of PrimeTime Health Plan, AultCare’s Medicare Advantage Plan. Prior to his role as president, Savage was senior vice president and CFO of AultCare. Savage was a member of the Canton Rotary for 10 years, served on the Meyers Lake YMCA Board of Directors and volunteers annually in the Wishes Can Happen Wish-A-Thon.

Savage will be succeeded by Mark Wright, chief financial officer of Aultman Health Foundation. In his current role, Wright provides financial leadership for all aspects of the integrated healthcare delivery system. In addition to his current responsibilities, Wright will become the president of AultCare.

“In selecting Mark Wright as the next president of AultCare, the board of directors is confident that Mark will continue our commitment to supporting the well-being of the community we serve and promoting the success of our local companies and organizations with high-value, quality health insurance products,” said Dr. John Humphrey, board chair of AultCare.

With almost 30 years of service to Aultman, Wright has developed extensive experience in healthcare finance, strategy and operations. He is active in the community, currently serving on the boards of the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and William McKinley Presidential Library & Museum. He and his wife Tonya have two daughters: Anna and Ava.

“Aultman has been good to me and my family, and it has been my honor to lead AultCare in recent years,” Savage said. “I have complete confidence that Mark Wright will continue AultCare’s strong tradition of leadership, care and success to the members of our community.”

“I want to thank and congratulate Jim for his longstanding service to Aultman and AultCare, and I have greatly appreciated his leadership and support over the years,” said Rick Haines, president and CEO at Aultman Health Foundation. “I’m also looking forward to the great things Mark will accomplish as he steps into Jim’s former role. Mark is already a well-known and highly respected member of our team, and I’m confident his leadership will be a critical part of continuing our mission to lead our community to improved health.”
