Rotary Youth Exchange info session Sept. 17

Rotary International and the Wooster Rotary Club are actively seeking applications for students age 15-19 interested in participating in the 2024-25 academic year. Students spend 10 months abroad cultivating language and cultural skills by living with host families and attending a local high school. Prior knowledge of the language of the host country is not required.
The Wooster Rotary Club invites students and families in the Wooster City, Triway, Northwestern, Smithville, Norwayne and Central Christian school districts to attend an information session on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 3 p.m. in the Alley in the lower level of Lowry Student Center, 1189 Beall Ave., on The College of Wooster campus.
Members of the Rotary Youth Exchange Committee will provide details on the scope and requirements of the program and approximate costs and countries with which exchanges are most common. Information on serving as a host family also will be shared.
If interested but unable to attend, email Rotary District 6650 Youth Exchange co-chair Brent Rice at brentlrice@sssnet.com.
