Rafter M Rodeo rolling into Millersburg

Displays of dexterity, trick riders and plenty of bronc-busting action will take place during the upcoming Holmes County Indoor Rodeo hosted by Rafter M Rodeo.
The two-day rodeo will take place at Harvest Ridge at the Holmes County Fairgrounds in the expo building Oct. 27-28, with the gates opening at 5 p.m. and shows beginning at 7 p.m.
One of the highlights for the event will be the presence of Dave “Showtime” Meyer, a renowned rodeo comedian who has entertained audiences for years.
Meyer fell in love with the rodeo at a young age and was dedicated to finding a way to make his mark any way he could in the business.
In 2013 he debuted with Redeye Rodeo as a rodeo clown after trying his hand at bull riding, and the allure of making people laugh was more than enough to inspire him to make a living doing what he was most passionate about.
A social media darling, Meyer has developed a massive following online, but what his fans really want to see is to watch him in action in the rodeo. People around Holmes County will get that opportunity in the two-day rodeo at Harvest Ridge.
Meyer isn’t the typical old-school rodeo clown, stating he likes to bring his fresh, energetic, family-friendly act to the people. He said when the public pays to come to the rodeo, he wants them to enjoy a memorable experience that will provide a bit of escape from the world and whatever troubles they might be facing at the time, giving them a time when they can sit back, connect and laugh.
Meyer has performed all over the United States and even in Canada and Australia, and his antics should bring plenty of smiles and outright laughter to the crowd.
“Showtime” won’t be the only form of entertainment at the event. The two days will be packed full of rodeo action. Bronc riding, team roping, steer wrestling, calf roping, breakaway roping, bull riding and trick riding from the duo of Tracie Spitznogle and Carlie Hale highlight a loaded event.
Announcer Dillon Gross will make sure there’s never a dull moment, and rodeo fans should have plenty to experience throughout the two evening shows.
Tickets to the event may be purchased locally at Charm Harness and Boot at 4432 County Road 70 in Charm or at Kaycee’s at 8261 state Route 241 in Fredericksburg.
