Next Civil War Round Table to cover Hidden History

The next Wayne County Civil War Round Table program will be held Oct. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Wayne County Historical Society Schoolhouse on the WCHS campus in Wooster.
The program Hidden History will be presented by Jeff Schrock and Jolene Dyer.
Schrock from Sugarcreek will share information on cemetery stone restoration and obtaining VA headstones for Civil War veterans. Schrock’s great-great-grandfather served in the 152nd OVI during the war. He will discuss 1st Lt. Noah Webster and his three brothers, who served in the 67th OVU.
Dyer from Wooster will share how her interest in Revolutionary War veterans developed and the development of a five-point project to locate, verify and memorialize Revolutionary War patriots buried in Wayne County.
The WCHS is located at 546 E. Bowman St. in Wooster. There is parking onsite — enter from the Spink Street entrance — and along the fence in the Drug Mart parking lot.
