NewPointe Community Church purchases building in Wooster
NewPointe Community Church, a thriving and growing group of over 4,200 people across multiple locations in northeast Ohio, is pleased to announce that the Wooster campus has purchased a permanent building and will be opening its doors this fall.
The new building, located at 1741 Oak Hill Road, will open on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. The Wooster team is excited about the opportunities this new space will provide for them as they seek to lead people in Wooster to realize and reach their full potential in Jesus Christ.
“This is a huge step for our campus and will be an incredibly useful tool to help us reach our friends, neighbors and co-workers, who aren't connected to church,” campus pastor Dan Owolabi said.
With this new building comes more room. The added space will allow for more engaging services, more opportunities for children to learn and grow, and more avenues for people to connect with one another.
While Owolabi is thrilled to be moving to a permanent location, he is also proud of the journey the Wooster campus has taken and how it has valued people more than anything else.
“I've seen NewPointe's Wooster campus meet in high schools, restaurants, ice cream shops, parks, homes and everything in between. It's been a lot of fun meeting so many new people. And I'm so proud of the way our campus has embodied the truth that the church is not a building; it's the people,” he said.
In the midst of this transitional time, the Wooster team has been working hard to continue building connections with their community in Wooster. This summer, they are holding PointeParties in different places throughout the community, where families and friends can gather together with NewPointe's Wooster campus to have fun, grow and experience church in a whole new way.
The next PointeParty will be held Aug. 30 at Freedlander Park. The event will go from 6-7:30 p.m. and will include food, softball, kickball and kid's activities.
