For Jamie and Tony Immel, creating a good time and a memorable one is only a snap away.

The Sugarcreek couple invested in building their fledgling company, Thanks for the Memories Photobooth, a transportable photograph camper that brings plenty of photo opportunities to life at parties, graduations, weddings, church events, social events and more.

The couple has enjoyed their foray into helping people capture special moments and making lasting memories through their venture, and they spent the afternoon of Saturday, Aug. 17 setting up shop in the Commercial & Savings Bank parking lot in Millersburg for a community party, where both young and old hopped into the photo booth to make a memory for the scrapbook.

“It’s been a whole lot of fun, and we’ve had a blast creating memories, and we’ve met a lot of great people since we started this,” Tony Immel said.

The Immels started their new adventure late in 2022, and they hit the ground running in earnest last year.

In most cases the couple is paid by those who hire them, and then they provide free photos for anyone willing to step inside and say cheese. Whether that fashion comes with a wild and zany set of props or a more serious tone is totally up to whomever steps inside the photo booth.

“We’ve done a few markets where it is pay per print, but we prefer this type of market where people can step inside and have some fun memories created for absolutely free,” Immel said. “It’s especially fun at events like this where kids can come back in again and again and recreate plenty of fun photos in different settings.”

Immel said they change out props depending on the type of event they are attending, but the one thing they always try to strive for is making it fun and memorable while creating lasting images that become keepsakes.

Thanks for the Memories Photobooth can be found on Facebook and Instagram, and Immel said they are nearly done with the creation of their website. They can be reached at 330-401-2415 or t4tmphotobooth@icloud.com.
