Garaway post-prom committee seeking community support

As the excitement for prom night builds, the Garaway post-prom committee is reaching out to the community with a request for support. The committee’s mission is to provide a fun, inclusive and safe post-prom celebration for Garaway High juniors and seniors — a night where memories are made without the worry of unsafe choices.

Post-prom will be held April 20 in the high school gym, following Garaway’s prom. The night will feature a lot of activities like Ping-Pong, Mario Kart, cornhole, karaoke and just hanging out, as well as food and prizes. It is funded entirely through donations.

The committee is seeking donations and contributions from local businesses, community members and alumni who share its commitment to creating a magical and secure environment for GHS students.

To donate monetarily or with a gift that can be used for prizes, email or call Anna Kimble at akimble1124@gmail.com or 330-340-5140. All donations will be acknowledged through the committee’s social media event page unless anonymity is requested.

The Garaway post-prom committee is a group of parent volunteers who organize activities that occur after prom to allow students a safe environment. The committee receives no funding from the school budget.
