CLHS preparing for annual chicken barbecue

On Saturday, Oct. 7, the County Line Historical Society of Wayne/Holmes will have its annual fall Wayne County Fair-style barbecue chicken drive-thru in Shreve.

Proceeds go to maintaining and operating the CLHS museum, which collects and preserves history.

Selling will begin at 10:30 a.m. and go until sold out. Meals are half-chicken only for $8 and half-chicken dinners for $12, which include green beans with ham, applesauce, a roll and butter.

The chicken barbecue will be held at the Shreve Auto Repair, formerly Shreve Mobil, 298 N. Market St., Shreve. Enter the drive-thru off of Robinson Street.

Cash and checks are accepted.
