Beyond the Brush seeking young artists to show works

Beyond the Brush, a new art studio in Smithville, is seeking young artists with works to display to share their art in a professional setting while also experiencing how their works can affect the community by giving back.

The studio is looking for artists age 10-16 and will feature one piece per month. There will be a blind auction held for the work of the featured artists, who will receive a $25 portion of the sale with the rest going to a charity of the artist’s choosing. Submissions are not limited to painting. The studio will accept any art.

To apply to be a featured artist, text 330-669-9722 and include the following information: name, age, title of artwork, description of materials used in artwork, any background on what inspired the piece, pictures of the artwork, charity of choice (suggestions include Humane Society, Salvation Army, Red Cross and St. Jude) and email address.
