Authors to speak in Dover

Authors Jim Gill, Tom Adamich and Kim Jurkovic will speak Thursday, Nov. 2 about “Built by Steel: The History of the Dover Public Library.”
They will share historical facts about the library’s founding and its development over the years. They will explain how the project came about and talk about the research and writing that resulted in the final edition. A book signing will follow the program.
In 1902 the American Sheet and Tin Plate Company opened a reading room for the employees. In 1955 the library was moved to its current location, where it has continued to be a community resource for reading/public programs, information, resources and cultural enrichment.
This program will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the community room at the Dover Public Library, 525 N. Walnut St., Dover. Register online at www.doverlibrary.org/events or call the library at 330-343-6123.
