Author to speak in Dover
Author Mike Johnson has written six historical novels and two non-fiction books. On Thursday, June 29, he will relate the epiphanies that kickstarted each of the books and dive into the research, which he characterizes as a treasure hunt that enabled him to write history-rich stories. A book signing will follow the program.
Johnson’s alma maters include Ohio University, Marshall Law at Cleveland State University, and Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. He also served two years in the Army including 13 months in Korea.
During his 35-year business career Johnson worked at three Fortune 500 companies – General Electric, TRW and Timken. He finished his business career as corporate vice president of marketing and communications for Timken where he was responsible for financial communications, media relations, internal communication, marketing communications, branding and advertising.
Johnson served as a Big Brother for two fatherless boys for 14 years and coached youth sports for 22 years.
