Luke Freshwater, a native of Dover, will read his book, "Bryson the Brave Bison," for story time on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 10:30 a.m. Freshwater along with Nate Davenport wrote "Bryson the Brave Bison" to teach children positive character traits such as bravery, honesty and perseverance.

Freshwater has served as a firefighter in Idaho and was an Army bomb squad leader in the war of Afghanistan. While Freshwater and his family were home visiting, they frequented the Dover Public Library.

Story times at the library are Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. There is no registration needed.
