Sharing a message of peace

Garrett Grimes of Carrollton was the only person who shared a message during a rally on Public Square in Carrollton Sunday afternoon. Grimes stood at the north end of Public Square holding an orange peace sign and waving at motorist.

“My message is love,” he said. “These are crazy times.”

Law enforcement, who were alerted to a possible protest, were prepared to handle the situation if it got out of hand and local anti-protestors lined the Square and sat in front of businesses.
