Get out and explore Wooster Memorial Park this fall with the ninth annual hiking challenge membership drive. This is a way to explore the park and enjoy the fall colors while contributing to the maintenance and preservation of this parkland.
The 465-acre Wooster Memorial Park is the largest natural forested area in Wayne County, with over 11 miles of hiking trails that accommodate hikers of all ages and abilities. There are trails that range in difficulty from ADA-accessible to earthen trails that traverse the forested ravines, going up and down ravine slopes to the Rathburn Run.
Between Sept. 1 and Nov. 30, become a member or renew your membership through the end of 2026 for $10, then hike 10 miles and earn a commemorative hiking pin or hike 30 miles and earn an additional “super hiker” park magnet. First-time hiking challenge participants also will receive a hiking staff. Membership in Friends of Wooster Memorial Park helps to keep the park and trails safe, supports educational programs, and informs about special members-only events.
