Tusky Valley High School presents ‘A Christmas Carol’

Tusky Valley High School will present “A Christmas Carol,” adapted by Ed Monk, in the Tusky Valley High School auditorium Dec. 9-11.Under the direction of Carrie Alexander Spina, more than 20 students take the stage to tell the story of cruel miser Ebenezer Scrooge, who has never met a shilling he doesn’t like and hardly a man he does. And he hates Christmas most of all. When Scrooge is visited by his old partner Jacob Marley and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Yet to Come, he learns eternal lessons of charity, kindness and goodwill.“This timeless Dickens play captures the essence of Christmas and what matters most as we celebrate the holiday season. Our students have been perfectly cast by director Carrie Spina, and this Tusky Valley play is one not to miss,” superintendent Mark Murphy said.Spina is joined by music director and choreographer Meagan Sams, assistant director Taylor Scott, scenic designer Larry Sams, sound designer Logan Harper and costumer Vicki Matthews.Tickets are on sale now and are available by calling Tusky Valley High School at 330-859-2421. Admission is $7. Performances are Dec. 9 at 7 p.m., Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 11 at 2:30 p.m.
