Tuscarawas County Literacy Coalition plans cookbook harvest
The Tuscarawas County Literacy Coalition is planning a Cookbook Harvest to raise funds for organization projects and provide low-cost cookbooks for area cooks. A drive to collect new and gently used cookbooks in good condition for the Cookbook Harvest is currently underway. Coalition volunteers will sell the cookbooks at the Tuscarawas Valley Family Farm Market August-October during regular market hours, Wednesdays, from 3-7 p.m.Cookbooks can be dropped off at the following locations:Tuscarawas County Convention and Visitors Bureau, 124 East High Avenue, New Philadelphia Ohio State Extension Office, 419 Sixteenth Street SW, New Philadelphia Gnadenhutten Public Library, 160 N. Walnut Street, DoverThe Tuscarawas County Literacy Coalition is a 501(c)3 dedicated to promoting and enhancing all forms of literacy to enrich the lives of area residents. In addition to traditional literacy, the coalition also works to build cultural, financial, nutritional, medical and technological literacy in Tuscarawas County. Coalition members include area businesses, schools, nonprofits and individuals working to improve literacy.
