Tuscarawas Central Catholic students recognized
Tuscarawas Central Catholic announced its Student of the Month recipients.
Ben Martin is a TCC Student of the Month. He is the son of John Martin and Karen Slovak of Dover. Football is his favorite extracurricular activity. His favorite classes are AP calculus and IT class. He keeps busy snowboarding, climbing trees and gaming. The best advice he has been given is “Don’t come out of college with a lot of debt.” He plans to attend college.
Maria Meiser is a TCC High School Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Chris and Jeannette Meiser of New Philadelphia. She keeps busy with extracurricular activities including Youth to Youth, Mock Trial, altar server, volleyball, Student Council and class vice president. American history and English are her favorite classes. She lists watching “Grey’s Anatomy” and journaling as two of her favorite hobbies. The best advice she has been given is “Success is not an accident. It takes a lot of hard work, perseverance, love, sacrifice and, most importantly, God.” She plans to go to college to become a first-grade teacher.
Steven Simpson is a TCC Junior High Student of the Month. He is the son of Amy Pace and Steve Simpson of Dover. His extracurricular activities include Power of the Pen, Chess Club, Pep Club and Boy Scouts. Math and religion are his favorite classes while piano lessons are one of his hobbies. The best advice he has been given is “Don’t worry about it. Do better next time.”
Kellen Seigler is the TCC Junior High Student of the Month. He is the son of Christopher and Mirleth Seigler of New Philadelphia. His extracurricular activities include Chess Club, altar server and VBS Faith Formation helper. Religion, health and PE, history, and science are his favorite classes. Hobbies like drawing, reading, robotics and 3-D printing keep him busy. The best advice he has been given is “Seek God always, not only when in need or when in doubt.”
