Members of the Clear Fork River Chapter of Trout Unlimited will stock Apple Creek in Wooster’s Grosjean Park with rainbow and brown trout from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14 and Saturday, Nov. 18.

The chapter will provide free fly fishing lessons to novice and beginning fly anglers. Lessons will be given by experienced instructors to kids age 10 or older as well as adults. Family groups are welcome. There is a limit of 20 anglers for each of the two days.

Fly fishing gear and flies will be provided as well as youth and adult waders. All fishing is catch and release. Kids must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. Participants age 16 or older must possess a valid Ohio fishing license.

The fishing clinics are sponsored and funded by Trout Unlimited, the City of Wooster and the Ohio Division of Wildlife. Interested anglers should email Skip Nault at bugmanosu@gmail.com or call 330-345-6779 by Oct. 1 for the October clinic or by Nov. 1 for the November clinic. Provide names and contact information.
