Special ticket prices for opening night of Trumpet in the Land
On Friday, June 11, at 8:30 p.m., Trumpet in the Land will open its 41st season at the picturesque Schoenbrunn Amphitheatre in New Philadelphia. To celebrate this beginning of summer, Trumpet officials are offering a special $5 opening night ticket price. According to Margaret Bonamico, Trumpet general manager, “Trumpet is definitely a show worth seeing; we hope this special savings will give everyone an opportunity to afford this professional theatre presentation of Ohio history.”
Trumpet in the Land’s 41st season is full of professional entertainment from start to finish. Ohio’s first and finest outdoor drama, Trumpet in the Land utilizes all the elements of theatre; retelling the compelling story of Ohio’s first settlement, Schoenbrunn, during the tumultuous Revolutionary War era and the brutal massacre of 96 Christian Indians at Gnadenhutten. Pulitzer prize-winning playwright Paul Green’s script combines comedy and drama; song and dance; romance, and spectacular pyrotechnics into an action-packed story as history explodes under the stars.
Also this summer, The White Savage begins its 14th season on Saturday, July 3. Fiddler On The Roof will take center stage beginning July 23. On August 1, Winnie The Pooh will begin its first of two Saturday performances and a special Breakfast with Pooh will be held prior to each performance. “In addition to our mainstage productions, we are thrilled to add The Dominic Greco band to our summer schedule on July 25,” said Bonamico.
Special opening night $5 tickets can be purchased at the Tuscarawas County Convention and Visitors Bureau at 124 E. High Ave. in New Philadelphia or at the Trumpet in the Land box office.
