Spaghetti dinner fundraiser to be held to aid Dan Loibl
A fundraiser for Dan Loibl will be held from noon until 4 on Sunday, June 26, at the Dover Armory. He and his wife, Linda, are residents of Dover. Dan currently works for Independence Business Supply in Cleveland as an outside sales rep.A spaghetti dinner, including spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert and drink, will be served and carryout will be available.Dan was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, which led to Graves disease, an autoimmune disorder that leads to overactivity of the thyroid gland. His eyesight has been affected and since Feb. 16, Dan has undergone several eye surgeries, including emergency surgery, at Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus. He has recently suffered multiple strokes, which led to extended stays at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. He is currently in both physical and occupational therapy.Proceeds of the benefit will be used to defray medical expenses that insurance will not cover, as well as travel expenses to and from Columbus. Insurance will only cover 50 percent of the bills incurred.A silent auction, Chinese auction and raffle will be held the day of the benefit.
