Smithville’s Ameriseal of Ohio under new ownership
Jonathan Moore was named chief operating officer and Byron Barlow was named president of Smithville-based Ameriseal of Ohio.
In October 2022, the opportunity presented itself to acquire Ameriseal of Ohio Inc. from Jim Peters.
“Jonathan and Byron have learned the company, the equipment, the product and the industry from the ground up, and I would consider both of them to be experts in the field of aviation pavement maintenance,” Peters said. “They demonstrated a premium level of integrity and honesty, and I had 100% confidence that when they acquired the company, it would remain incredibly successful. I know the company will do well and continue to provide top-quality products and services to the aviation community.”
The careers of Moore and Barlow began at Ameriseal of Ohio Inc. over 18 years ago. In 2005 Moore started working at Ameriseal of Ohio Inc., and in 2007 after college graduation, Barlow also began working on the GRIP-FLEX crew. Through the years they took on many different roles, from project management to marketing.
During the early years, both focused on building and strengthening relationships with airport managers and aviation engineers, continuing to learn and grow.
Moore, his wife Katie and their three children live in Norton while Barlow, his wife Christina and their child reside in Chippewa Lake.
