Smithville High School celebrated football homecoming on Friday, Oct. 11 prior to the game against Dalton. Taylor DePriest, daughter of Kenny and Tammy DePriest, was crowned queen. Cora Mong, daughter of Mike and Linda Mong, was named princess.

Senior attendants were Ashleigh Clabaugh and Emma Heeke while underclassmen attendants included juniors Jillian Newlan and Morgan Stoller, sophomores Brooke Fatzinger and Sydney Shane, and freshmen Taylor Leach and Laura Weinman.

Also at homecoming, the combined high school and fifth-grade choirs sang the national anthem, the mini majorettes and mini cheerleaders performed, and alumni band members joined the marching band at halftime for two musical selections.

A Hawaiian-themed dance was held on Saturday evening in the school cafeteria.
