The following construction and maintenance projects are anticipated to affect highways in Holmes County in the coming weeks. All outlined work is weather permitting.

State Route 83 closure near Holmesville: State Route 83 will close July 24-26 for a culvert replacement project located just north of Holmesville. Traffic will be detoured via U.S. 62 east to SR 241 north, SR 241 north to U.S. 250 west, U.S. 250 west back to SR 83, and reverse.

The following projects are ongoing in Holmes County:

—US Route 62 resurfacing: Work is underway to resurface a four-mile section of U.S. Route 62 from just west of Killbuck to County Road 27. Traffic will be maintained via flaggers. The completion date is Sept. 30.

—State Route 39 culvert replacement west of Millersburg: Work is underway to replace a culvert along state Route 39, west of Millersburg near the intersection of state Route 39 and state Route 754. Traffic is being maintained via temporary traffic signals during the construction period. The estimated completion date for the project is Aug. 31.

—State Route 241 sidewalks: Work is underway to construct sidewalks along state Route 241 in Mt. Hope. Traffic will be maintained via flaggers throughout construction. The completion date is Aug. 31.

Washington St. sidewalk project in Millersburg: Work is underway to construct sidewalks along Washington St. (U.S. Route 62) from Glen Dr. to Logsdon Ave. Traffic will be maintained throughout construction. The completion date is Aug. 31.
