Ricky L. Howell
Ricky L. Howell, age 65 of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, June 20, 2018, in Trinity Twin City Hospital at Dennison.
A son of the late Karl and Gertrude (Ohler) Howell, Ricky was born April 3, 1953, at Dennison.
Ricky graduated from Indian Valley North High School in 1971, and during his younger years he worked as a fuel truck driver for Buchannan Oil.
Ricky was an avid sports fan and was especially fond of the Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers as well as the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Ricky is survived by his wife, Peg (Johnson) Howell, whom he married Feb. 8, 1975; a sister, Dru (Bill) Bichsel of New Philadelphia; a sister-in-law, Fran (Joe Black) Johnson of New Philadelphia; and many nieces and nephews.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George Howell.
In keeping with Ricky’s wishes, there will be no calling hours, and cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Further arrangements are currently pending.
