Wanda Grace Lemasters, 82, of New Philadelphia, died Dec. 8, 2011, at Aultman Hospital, Canton, following a period of declining health.A daughter of the late William A. and Ida Forrester, Wanda was born June 25, 1929, in Greenwood, W.Va. She attended Salem High School, Salem, W.Va., and married the love of her life, Edman C. Lemasters, on Feb. 14, 1948.Wanda spent a majority of her life as a devoted caregiver to her family. She greatly enjoyed the time spent with each member of her extended family, and as her immediate family grew, she looked forward to time spent with her grandchildren and later her great-grandchildren. She was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed making clothing and other wares. Wanda was an avid reader who also appreciated craft work and floral arranging.Upon Eds retirement, the couple began camping at Atwood Lake and made many friends during this time. They eventually decided that relocating to the Tuscarawas Valley was a good idea and had made New Philadelphia their home for the past 15 years.In addition to her husband of 63 years, Wanda will be missed by her daughter, Meredith Lynn (Mac) McCaskey of New Martinsville, W.Va.; son, Mark D. (Laura) Lemasters of Winchester, Va.; sisters, Helen Fike and Winona Gain, both of Grafton, W.Va., and Kay Colonie of Latrobe, Pa.; grandchildren, Alicia (Rick) Hissom and Amy Petin, both of New Martinsville, W.Va., Rory S. Lemasters of Virginia, and Keirsten Lemasters of Florida; great-grandchildren, Brantley Hissom, Brennan Petin, and Kenna Pettin; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by four brothers and eight sisters.Cremation will be conducted through the care of Geibs Tuscarawas Valley Crematory, Dover.
