Katie A. Hershberger, 76, of Fredericksburg, died July 10, 2010, at Walnut Hills Nursing Home, following an extended illness.Katie was born Sept. 2, 1933, in Holmes County, to the late Eli B. and Lizzie Ann Weaver. She was a member of East Union Mennonite Church near Orrville. She was a self-employed house cleaner and enjoyed gardening.Surviving are her husband, Dan A. Hershberger, whom she married in 1951; children, Richard (Miriam) Hershberger of Dundee, Nancy Hershberger of the home, and Crystal (Steve) Miller of Fredericksburg; 10 grandchildren; sister, Sarah Yoder of Sarasota, Fla.; and brother, Ben (Ada Mae) Weaver of Kidron.She was preceded in death by a sister, Alta Schlabach; and brother, Edward Weaver.Services will be held July 13, 2010, at 10 a.m., at East Union Mennonite Church, with Pastor Leonard Wenger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call July 12, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., or one hour prior to services.Spidell Funeral Home, Mt. Eaton, is handling arrangements.
