Letha Ilene Sampsel, 65, of Wooster, died June 21, 2010, at University Hospital Extended Care Campus, Chardon.Letha was born April 10, 1945, in Fresno, to William Ervin and Wilma Hardesty. She enjoyed playing euchre and bingo.Surviving are her husband, Gerald Sampsel, whom she married in 1962; son, Paul (Kennetta) Sampsel of Big Prairie; daughter, Penny (John) Mays of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Marne Sampsel, Bradley Sampsel, Megan Simms, and Mesha (Lee) Shields; brother, Max Hardesty of Newcomerstown; and sisters, Fern Sheffield of Zanesville, Florence Horne of Huntsville, Irene Wears of Florida, and Christine Scotts of Dresden.She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Hardesty; and half-brother, Junior Hardesty.Memorial services will be held June 25, 2010, at 2 p.m., in Killbuck Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
