Betty Berner, 90, of Wooster, died May 7, 2010, at Smithville Western Care Center.Betty was born Dec. 2, 1919, in Wooster, to the late Charles and Carrie Heffelfinger. She retired as a wire welder from Rubbermaid after 32 1/2 years. She enjoyed dancing and bowling.Surviving are children, Ann (Luther) Stout of Rittman, Helen (Ted) McVay of Wadsworth and Key West, Fla., and Richard (Sherrie) Berner of Wooster; grandchildren, Virginia (Dave) Smith of Wooster, Randy (Amy) Salisbury of South Shore, Ky., Tom (Algen) Lucas of Warner Robbins, Ga., Don Salisbury of Rittman, Keith (Amy) Salisbury of Firebrick, Ky., Mike Bateman of Wooster, Jim (Karin) Martie of Naples, Fla., Michelle (Peter) Rehfuss of Allen, Texas, Shawn Berner of Seattle, Wash., and Danielle (Chris) Belcher of Wadsworth; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Richard Berner and Tab Carter; daughter, Carol Bateman; sisters, Bertha Barger and Cora Brooks; and brothers, Roy Fisher, Jeff Heffelfinger, Charles Heffelfinger, and Clarence Heffelfinger.Services were held May 11, 2010, at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home.
