David D. Yoder, 86, of Walnut Hills Retirement Home, formerly of Millersburg, died March 14, 2010, following a period of declining health.David was born August 23, 1923, near Charm, to David K. and Anna Yoder. He was a charter member of Zion Conservative Mennonite Church, Benton. He was a carpenter and excavator, and after his retirement enjoyed doing taxi service and spending winters in Sarasota, Fla.Surviving are children, Merle (Susan) Yoder of Belen, N.M., A. Allen (Esther) Yoder and Ruth (Mervin) Yoder, both of Millersburg, Naomi Hostetler of Bourbon, Ind., Titus (Beulah) Yoder of Sarasota, Fla., and Barbara (Steve) Miller of Sugarcreek; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; brother, Sam Yoder of Millersburg; and sister, Anna Ropp of Harrisonburg, Va.He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Yoder, whom he married in 1947; six brothers; two sisters; two grandchildren; a daughter-in-law; and a son-in-law.Services will be held March 18, 2010, at 10 a.m., at Gospel Haven Mennonite Church, Benton.
