New Phila man arrested for cocaine possession
On Wednesday, March 7, Rickie Lee Bearducci, 49, of 1338 Baltzey Valley Rd. SE, New Philadelphia, was arrested by L.E.A.D. detectives and Dover Police on a Tuscarawas County Grand Jury indictment for one felony county of cocaine possession.The case stems from a traffic stop conducted by Tuscarawas County Sheriffs deputies on Dec. 20, 2011, when Bearducci was found to have a baggie of white powder in his possession. The substance was sent to a state of Ohio crime lab analysis and confirmed to be powder cocaine.Task Force detectives were familiar with Bearducci due to prior drug charges and had been looking for him since the indictment was issued on Feb. 24. While L.E.A.D. detectives were conducting surveillance at a location in the city of Dover, they observed Bearducci pull away from a residence in a black SUV. Detective immediately began following Bearducci, contacting Dover Police, who responded immediately, conducting a traffic stop in the 700 block of North Tuscarawas Avenue, where he was taken into custody.Rickie Lee Bearducci is being held in the Tuscarawas County Jail pending arraignment in Tuscarawas County Common Pleas Court sometime in the near future.
