Michael H. Nehls, age 61 of Orrville and formerly of Florida, Arizona, Colorado and Wooster, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, following a sudden illness.

Mike was born March 1, 1957, in Orrville to Dr. Walter W. and Irene (Henry) Nehls. He attended Waynedale High School and the Wayne County Career Center and worked as a teamster for Precision Pipeline.

Win or lose, Mike enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. He was proud of his nearly 30 years of sobriety.

Surviving are his son, Michael W. (Holly) Nehls; grandchildren, Sterling and Isabella Nehls of Colorado Springs, Colorado; five siblings, Judith (Alan) Sanza, Harry "Butch" Nehls, Wilma Eyster Raynor, Wiliam (Sue) Nehls and Lavinia (Jim) Corbett of Orrville; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Jim Bolduc of Glendale, Arizona.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Mary Frances Oakes, Kenneth Traskos and Kevin Traskos.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held by the family at a later date.
