Knights trampled by Colts and Tygers
West Holmes finished the regular season on the receiving end of a pair of Ohio Cardinal Conference thrashings over the weekend.On Friday, Feb. 19, the Knights went to Clear Fork and were defeated 58-39. Stewart Sabine paced the West Holmes offensive with 21 points. The senior drilled four 3-pointers. Joey Gonzalez dished out four assists and Adam Polen grabbed five rebounds to lead the Knights.Clear Fork led 9-4 after the opening eight minutes of action and stretched its lead to 30-14 at the half to send the Knights to their 18th loss of the season.On Saturday, Feb. 20, the Knights traveled to Mansfield where they were mauled by the league-leading and undefeated Tygers 79-48. No other information was reported.West Holmes opens the Division II tournament trail tonight, (Thursday, Feb. 25) in Coshocton, at 6 p.m., in a clash with Maysville.
