John Henry Yoder
John Henry Yoder, age 69, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 1, 2021.
He was born at home in Uniontown on April 6, 1952, to the late Wallace and Ida (Zook) Yoder. He went to church with Alice “Arlene” Lapp and they married on her 19th birthday, July 24, 1971. John retired from Johnston’s Supply in 2018 after 40 years of service. He was a member of The Chapel of Marlboro where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed golf, fishing and hunting. Most of all, he enjoyed his family.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene; children, Nathan (fiancée Martha Yoder) Yoder, Norma (Scott) Schreffler, and Regina (Mark) Coblentz; grandchildren, Shane and Serena Yoder, Jacob, Olivia and Caleb Coblentz; and Jayden Schreffler; siblings, Mary Ellen Wagler, Ervin Yoder, Elmer (Edna) Yoder, Martha (Alfred) Gingerich, and Vernon (Mary Margaret) Yoder; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by brothers, Leroy and Alvin.
Calling hours are Wednesday, May 5, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at Evermore Community Church. Funeral services are Thursday, May 6, 10 a.m., at Evermore Community Church with Pastor Joel Cochran officiating. Final resting place is Walnut Grove Cemetery.
