Jerome James to be featured with Greco Band in Music for Fun

The Dominic Greco Band, under the direction of Frederick Delphia, will present a concert at the Tuscora Park Amphitheater on Saturday, June 16, beginning at 7 p.m. This program will be part of the Summer Showcase.Music for the evening’s concert will be dedicated to one theme: Music for Fun. The band has selected numbers associated with exuberance and joy. The Greco Band always programs music to make concerts enjoyable to their audiences, but this evening they will put a little more emphasis on the word fun.The concert will begin with the great circus march, Barnum and Bailey’s Favorite, followed by the overture to Morning, Noon and Night in Vienna. A band concert with the theme Music for Fun would not be complete without a tribute to Spike Jones and his City Slickers. Sure to be an audience favorite will be Ron Barkett’s vocal rendition of Stout-Hearted Men.Popular local vocalist Jerome James will join the band with his special interpretation of Minnie the Moocher, along with a couple of other great arrangements scored for him by Corey Swinderman. These are just a few of the unique selections to be performed on this special concert. Delphia said that it should be a fun concert for the audience and band alike. For more information on the band, visit the band’s website at dominicgrecoband.org.
