Clyde M. Troyer, 60, of Millersburg died Friday, August 1, 2014 at Pomerene Memorial Hospital in Millersburg.He was born August 26, 1953 in Dover to the late Melvin J. and Anna Mae (Barkman) Troyer. He had worked for Louisiana Pacific and had done transport services for the Amish community. He enjoyed raising exotic chickens, fishing, going to the movies and fireworks on the Fourth of July.He is survived by his wife, Mary (Bontrager) Troyer of Millersburg; his seven brothers and sisters, Mary Ellen (Dale) Shull of Walnut Creek, Twila (Garrett) Gatti of Wilmot, Dorothy (James) Stein of Strasburg, Marcus (Kim) Troyer of Dundee, Christina (Larry) Ennis of Strasburg, Shirley (Stewart) Sommers of Berlin and Loretta (Kevin) Smith of New Philadelphia and many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Lou Troyer.Memorial services were held Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Smith-Varns Funeral Home (www.smithfuneral.com), 1018 W. Main St., Sugarcreek. The family received friends from 9-10 a.m. prior to services. Burial was in Pleasant View Mennonite Church Cemetery.Donations may be made to the funeral home in Clyde’s name to help defray funeral expenses.
