Carol Christine Nolt
Carol Christine Nolt, age 83 of Orrville, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, at Autumnwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rittman, following a long period of declining health.
Carol was born July 28, 1935, in Smithville to the late Daniel and Icie (Yoder) Miller. She graduated from Smithville High School and attended Bluffton College. She worked as a human resource director for Orrville Products many years.
Carol was a former member of Marshallville United Methodist Church, where she was a choir director, as well as the Orrville Moose Lodge and the Orrville American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling and was a lifetime member of the Ohio Women's Bowling Association, traveling the entire state as a member of the board. She also was a member of the Wooster Bowling Hall of Fame. She loved playing BINGO and cards. She was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and also loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Kris Jones of Wana, West Virginia; son, Terry (Heather) Nolt of Coppers Cove, Texas; four grandchildren, Angie (Dr. Lawrence Boyd) Sampson of Morgantown, West Virginia, David (Donn-Yelle Fenton) Sampson of Masontown, Pennsylvania, Christian (Emily) Meeks of Columbus and Jerrica Nolt of Coppers Cove, Texas; seven great-grandchildren, Harleigh Rebold, Carleigh Rebold, Ava Sampson, Bentley Sampson, Colton Sampson, Jazz-Lynn Sampson and Eli Meeks; and a brother, Gerald (Lila) Miller of Sagamore Hills.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Daniel Sampson, and brothers, Richard, Danny and Clifford Miller.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at Auble Funeral Home, 512 E. Oak St., Orrville, with Pastor Mike Sollars officiating.
Friends may call on Tuesday at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m.
