Carol Ann Kurzinsky, age 80 of New Philadelphia and formerly of Canton, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, in Aultman Hospital at Canton.

A daughter of the late William and Mary June Meese Kemp, Carol was born May 15, 1938, in Salisbury, Pennsylvania.

Carol was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School and retired from K-Mart in Canton, where she was in charge of the receiving department.

Carol enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, being a member of the Red Hat Society and traveling. She was an avid fan and religious watcher of "Dancing with the Stars."

Carol is survived by her children, Mary Ellen (Dan) Flickinger of Massillon, Kelly (companion, Scott Burkett) Osler of Canton, and Steve Kurzinsky and David (Kim) Kurzinsky, all of New Philadelphia; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ellen Albright of Perry Township.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Kemp, and her husband, Donald V. Kurzinsky, whom she married on Nov. 21, 1957, and with whom she celebrated nearly 48 years of marriage prior to his death on Sept. 5, 2005.

The family will greet guests on Thursday, Jan. 3 from 5-8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A service celebrating Carol’s life will be held in the funeral home’s chapel on Friday, Jan. 4 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Burial will follow in the East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia.
